I used to be far more ambitious. I guess I should clarify that- more “corporately ambitious.” I am competitive by nature and driven. I have spent the last few years trying to tone that down. I’m trying to stop focusing on what I want to be and just simply be. It’s a struggle of mine, a pathetic one, but a struggle nonetheless. I think we all need to take time and appreciate living in the moment.
It’s a beautiful morning- warm, but not hot. I’m writing this from the garden. My kids are playing with their water table. The breeze is cool, and the birds are busy. I have a bunch of chores to do inside. For that matter, there is much to do outside. Seriously, do weeds triple in strength and volume overnight? Really, it’s all nonsense. This moment is too good to waste. It’s a moment for enjoying and appreciating. And, really- it’s a moment for water tables. I will just simply be.

As you should be. Just remember… your “Job” is 24/7. You don’t get sick time, overtime or a vacation.
I have to be reminded (by Hubby) that if I weren’t doing what I am doing… we would have a whole lot of stress of running around and clashing schedules and not to mention a hefty daycare bill!! It’s all good… and enjoy the sun and the kids and the watertable and know you are doing exactly what you are supposed to. 🙂
